The Witch's Lair ~> Halloween Lookbook Special

Sarah Jessica Parker, pictured here (pre-SATC) as one third of the Sanderson sisters, knows how to rock Halloween style.
For those who'd rather give the fake blood and matted hair look a miss this year, here are some alternatives for a last minute Halloween ensemble.
Luckily, the opulence trend allows for plenty of choice this season, particularly if you're thinking of a Gatsby inspired costume. Many high street stores also have selected Halloween lines at the moment so make sure to pick something up before they're all gone!

And don't forget cat ears...they're essential.

#Trendwatch: Check It Out

Check it out - check is enjoying a comeback!

Stick with black and white for an on-trend and elegant monochrome look or go all matchy-matchy like Naomi in her heyday. I'm loving Topshop's lilac mini-skirt, worn last week by The Saturdays' Vanessa White, (also need Rochelle's cosy baby blue polo-neck).

Check is fast becoming one of Autumn/Winter's biggest trends so I'd say:
the bigger + the bolder = the better!

Cher from Clueless would be proud.

#Trendwatch: This Season's BFF - Burgundy

Burgundy is everywhere at the moment and is fast becoming the must-have colour for A/W 13-14.
Thankfully, it genuinely flatters everyone. The new colour trends for the coming months promise to be inspiring and it's great to see that the high street is embracing these new autumnal hues.

I am smitten with Burberry's white heart burgundy blouse, above, worn last week by Victoria Beckham.
Luckily for the less affluent, Romwe are doing a pretty darn similar version for I can't even imagine what fraction of the price! A-Wear also have a gorgeous high-street imitation but it has just sold out online. I think I spotted a few still in store though, so get buying!

#TrendWatch:Queen Delevingne @ Blackscore.co.uk

Don't be jel, be raising hell.

Calling all dedicated followers of fashion, holla' if Blackscore's where it's at.

Blackscore is the new t-shirt brand taking London's fash-pack by storm. Created by British designer and fine artist, Simeon Farrar, Blackscore designs high quality, hand printed, black and white t-shirts based on the concept that 'Punk isn't dead, it just went POP!'

Juxtaposing 80s punk with modern pop isn't very difficult when Cara Delevingne is your muse.
The twenty one year old supermodel has already inspired several of the designs with the 'Queen Delevingne' and recently released 'Smells like Delevingne Spirit' tees already having completely sold out from brand's website, www.blackscore.co.uk.

BFF Rita Ora was spotted wearing 'Queen Delevingne' back in February at London Fashion Week while Jourdan Dunn has also been presented with her own design. 'No.1 Dunn', worn by Cara above, shows the model in her staple black beanie.

The punk vibe going into fall 2013 makes these graphic tees in vogue right now yet their limited edition status in turn makes them exclusive. Nods to fashion blogger Susie Bubble and the faux fashion tee trend ('Tom Ford is my Home Boy'/ 'Dior is Dope') shows that Farrar has a clear vision for this brand and knows to whom it will appeal.

The designs are quirky, edgy and with PR from London's 'it' crowd, fashion bloggers are bound to see more from Blackscore.

All t-shirts from www.blackscore.co.uk
Prices between £30-£40.

#TrendWatch: Fashion Forecast A/W 13-14

So long, summer!
Change is good, and there is nothing I love more than a change in season.
Here is your fashion outlook for Autumn/Winter 2013-2014. Expect the appearance of animal prints (both new and old), full length skirts and some unexpected hues direct from the catwalk and the high street.

The Look: Grunge and Cool

The Trend: Tartan

This is the ideal transitional trend, leading you from pre-fall right into the depths of winter. Tartan is a print that anyone can get away with and is made for the pale Irish complexion. For grown up style, keep it toned down. Try a tartan accessory or wear with your favourite black skinny jeans and biker boots.
The Trend: Military and Biker Jacket

Yes, they make an appearance every A/W but their practicality and wearability make them firm fashion favourites. Go for a fur collar to give your biker jacket a fresh new look.

The Look: Girl Gone Wild

The Trend: Leopard Print

While for me leopard print leggings are still a fashion no-no - unless you're in Absolutely Fabulous, then go right ahead - adding a touch of this print to your accessories gives your outfit a timeless touch. Leopard print ankle boots, satchels and purses are all on my most-wanted list.

 The Trend: New Animal Prints

We're all used to the old reliable checks, tartans and leopard prints but this season is all about embracing something new. Give pink pony skin a try or maybe reptile or Dalmatian. Naturally, imitation...
The Look: Let's Have a Tea Party

The Trend: The Full Skirt

Feel pretty flouncing in your full length skirt. Although daunting at first, there are so many ways for this look to be worn. For the office, tuck in a print blouse with mid-heel court shoes. Then try an oversized fine knit sweater and brogues for quick and easy street style chic.
 The Trend: Floral

Yet another regular appearance from the floral trend but as opposed to summer's fresh and bright look, keep winter florals dark and mysterious.

The Trend: Pink and Blue

Perhaps 'twas all the royal baby fever going around that inspired this trend! Baby pinks and blues are a welcome addition to any winter wardrobe. This A/W is certainly different with the acceptance of these pastel shades. Why, even earlier this month we saw classic duck egg blue woo the judges at the Galway Races.
The Look: Textured Diva

The Trend: Velvet, Vinyl and Embellishment

A/W 13-14 is all about extravagance, opulence and overindulgence - think The Borgias - so it's only right that this shows through in the fabrics. Give your look a bit of texture and don't be afraid to mix it up. Personally, I love the crushed velvet look (although not in tracksuits!).
The Look: Think On Your Feet

The Trend: The Thigh High Boot

Ok, this trend is definitely not for everyone. However, it's all about feeling comfortable and if you're confident go for it! Rihanna looks killer in her thigh-highs but, then again, she looks great in everything...

The Trend: Old-School Shoes

Brogues and loafers are going to be huge once more this year. Thank goodness, because they can be so comfy and there are plenty of cheap pairs going on the high street. However, if you want them to last, pay a little extra for better quality. For a preppy look, team with a satchel and a crisp white collared shirt.
